AIRLESS SELECTOR
Choose the airless route first
“Airless” covers very different constructions. The useful question is not only which bottle looks right, but which system fits the formula, sustainability target and commercial brief.
What an airless system does
Airless systems are designed to dispense product while limiting air re-entering the product chamber during use. Depending on the construction, a piston or inner container moves as product is dispensed.
This can be useful for skincare, serum, lotion and treatment formulas where controlled dosage, product evacuation and reduced exposure to ambient air are important. Final compatibility must still be tested with the actual formula.

AIRLESS BY OUTPUT
Choose the dose before the bottle
Airless output is one of the most useful ways to narrow the range. The required dose depends on formula, application area and how much product the user should receive per actuation.
| Listed output | Representative Ramson options | Typical selection logic |
|---|---|---|
| 0.08 ml | Alpha Mini 5–15 ml | Very small controlled doses and compact treatment packs. |
| 0.10 ml | R41054 10/15 ml | Compact skincare and treatment formats requiring a low dose. |
| 0.12 ml | ONEMATERIAL PP 5 ml, ONEMATERIAL PP 10 ml | Small-dose mono-material PP options. Validate the required dose with the actual formula. |
| 0.13 ml | Duo Slim, W | Controlled low-output dispensing across compact and premium formats. |
| 0.15 ml | ONEAEU1 PE, Cosmo Mini | Low-dose skincare, serum and treatment applications. |
| 0.20 ml | ONE MATERIAL PP, R46084 | Core skincare dose across mono-material and PCR routes. |
| 0.23 ml | Pure Slim, Twist, Vogue | Widely used output across standard and premium 15/30/50 ml formats. |
| 0.25 ml | Life, Cosmo Slim | Controlled skincare dose in slim standard formats. |
| 0.40 ml | Bliss Airless Jar | Cream and jar-style airless applications. |
| 0.50 / 1.0 ml | DW High Output, Air | Higher-dose applications and larger skincare/personal-care formats. |
| 1.20 ml | Snap 50 ml | Higher-output option in a 50 ml format. Validate dispensing behaviour with the actual formula. |
| 1.50 ml | Eco 50–100 ml | High-output dispensing where more product is required per actuation. |
Outputs above are taken from current Ramson product records. The correct dose must be validated with the actual formula and selected dispenser.

MATERIAL & FORMAT
Airless does not mean one material
PP airless
Ramson has a broad PP airless range, including standard, PCR and selected mono-material systems. PP is also used in many pump and piston components across other airless constructions.
PCR airless
Selected airless systems are available with post-consumer recycled content. The achievable percentage depends on model, component, colour and performance requirements.
Refillable airless
Refillable systems can retain an outer pack while replacing an inner component. The right architecture depends on user handling, formula and intended refill model.
Mono-material airless
Selected PP and PE systems are designed around one main polymer. This is different from simply removing metal while mixing several plastics.
Premium & double-wall
Acrylic, AS and double-wall formats provide a more substantial visual pack architecture when appearance is the primary brief.
Airless jars & tubes
Airless dispensing is not limited to cylindrical bottles. Current Bliss airless jars cover 15, 30 and 50 ml, while Vogo airless tubes include 30 and 45 ml formats.
FORMULA & APPLICATION
Match the pack to your formula
Airless systems are widely considered for formulas where controlled dispensing, product evacuation and reduced re-entry of ambient air are useful. The correct pack still depends on the actual formula, viscosity, dose and filling process.
Serums & treatments
Lower-output airless systems can suit concentrated treatment formats where controlled dosing matters. Current Ramson examples include 0.12, 0.15, 0.2 and 0.23 ml outputs.
Eye care
Compact 5, 10 and 15 ml airless formats give brands narrow treatment-pack options without moving to a standard dip-tube pump.
Moisturisers & creams
30 and 50 ml are strongly represented across PP, premium double-wall, refillable and airless-jar formats.
SPF & sunscreen
Airless can be evaluated for compatible sunscreen and SPF formulas where evacuation and controlled dose are important. Formula and pump testing are essential before approval.
Foundation & complexion
Selected airless systems can be tested with compatible complexion formulas where clean dosing and pack appearance are priorities.
Larger personal-care formats
75, 100 ml and larger airless references extend the format beyond small facial-skincare packs.
Application examples are selection starting points, not formula-compatibility claims. Final performance is confirmed with the selected pack and product.
HOW WE SPECIFY IT
Four decisions before sampling
Formula
Viscosity, ingredients and product behaviour determine which dispensing system should be tested.
Dose
Output must match how the product is used. Output varies by model; compare the dose specifications in the family table above.
Material
PP, PE, PCR, mixed-material premium packs and mono-material routes solve different briefs.
Brand expression
Colour, finish, printing, metallisation and component coordination determine how a standard pack becomes yours.
ONE PARTNER. EVERY COMPONENT.
Develop the complete pack
Ramson can coordinate the dispenser, outer pack, refill component, closure, colour and decoration instead of treating each component as a separate purchase.
Where a standard pack is close but not distinctive enough, our Tailored Brand Packaging approach can identify whether selected geometry, tooling, colour or decoration changes are the smarter route.

AIRLESS FAQ
Before you choose airless
What is the difference between airless and a standard pump bottle?
A standard pump typically draws product through a dip tube. Many airless systems use a moving piston or collapsing inner chamber so product can be dispensed while limiting air entering the product chamber. The exact mechanism varies by design.
Is an airless pump bottle the same as a vacuum bottle?
“Vacuum bottle” is often used as a market term for airless packaging, but the actual dispensing architecture should be checked rather than assumed from the name. Airless systems can use a rising piston, inner chamber or other construction depending on the model.
Do airless bottles use a dip tube?
Many piston-based airless bottles do not use a conventional dip tube, while other airless constructions can differ. Ramson confirms the mechanism, output and filling requirements for the selected reference.
Can airless packaging be used for retinol, vitamin C or other sensitive skincare formulas?
Airless packaging is often evaluated for formulas where reduced repeated exposure to ambient air is useful. It does not by itself guarantee formula stability. Resin barrier properties, the complete pack, filling process and compatibility testing still need to be assessed for the actual formulation.
Does Ramson supply 15 ml, 30 ml and 50 ml airless dispensers?
Yes. These are among the most strongly represented capacities in the current Ramson range. The catalogue also includes smaller and larger formats, with current filters spanning approximately 5 ml to 250 ml.
Are mono-material airless dispensers available?
Yes. Selected systems are available in PP or PE constructions designed around one main polymer. We distinguish these from all-plastic packs that may still combine different polymers.
Can airless packaging use PCR?
Yes. PCR options are available on selected systems and components. The percentage and colour options depend on the specific model and performance requirement.
Do you offer refillable airless packaging?
Yes. Current Ramson refillable airless ranges include selected 30 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml PP systems as well as refillable airless jar formats.
How do I choose the correct airless pack for my formula?
Start with formula type, viscosity, target dose, fill volume, material target and annual volume. From there we can shortlist suitable systems and arrange compatibility and dispensing tests on the selected pack.
