REFILLABLE AIRLESS

Refillable airless bottles and jars.

Ramson supplies refillable airless dispensers and jars in 100% PP plastic, including 30 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml dispenser formats and 15 ml, 30 ml and 50 ml airless jar formats.

Selected systems use plastic-spring technology and are designed so the refill concept, dispensing performance and brand presentation can be developed as one pack.

THE REFILL SYSTEM

Design the pack and refill together

The refill architecture has to work for the formula, filling process, consumer and brand. We look at how the refill is inserted or replaced, how the pump interfaces with the pack, and whether the outer component remains durable across the intended number of refill cycles.

Key decisions

  • 30 / 50 / 100 ml dispenser or 15 / 30 / 50 ml jar
  • PP construction
  • Screw or snap system depending on range
  • Plastic spring on selected systems
  • Colour and decoration
  • Refill handling and user experience
  • Formula compatibility and dispensing test

Formula fit

Common use cases include serum, moisturiser, cream and treatment products, subject to compatibility and dispensing validation with the selected system.

Decoration

Colour, printing and other finishes are confirmed around the outer pack and intended refill model rather than assumed across the full range.

MOQ, samples & timing

Minimum order quantities vary by reference, colour, decoration and component combination. Tell us the quantities for complete packs and separate refills. Ramson confirms MOQ, sample options and lead times for the selected specification.

WHEN TO CHOOSE IT

A pack worth keeping

Premium outer pack

The durable part can carry the brand expression while the replaceable inner component handles the product.

Repeat purchase

The commercial model works best when customers have a reason to return for the refill rather than replace the complete pack.

Formula needs airless

The refill concept should not compromise the dispensing performance or product compatibility required from the airless system.

STANDARD VS REFILLABLE

Standard or refillable?

Question Standard airless Refillable airless
Initial pack simplicity Fewer user steps and components More complex system by design
Repeat purchase model Complete pack is replaced Outer pack can be retained and refill component replaced
Premium outer decoration Applied to every pack Can make more sense when outer pack is designed to stay in use
Consumer instructions Normal dispensing use Refill removal/insertion must be intuitive
Testing requirement Formula + dispenser compatibility Formula + dispenser + refill mechanism + repeated handling

What we would ask before recommending refillable

  • How many refill cycles is the outer pack expected to survive?
  • Is the refill sold alone, in secondary packaging or as part of a starter set?
  • Does the filling partner handle the inner refill component separately?
  • Which component carries the decoration and legal information?
  • What PCR or mono-material claim is intended for the finished pack?
  • What is the target quantity for launch and annual repeat business?

FAQ

Refillable airless questions

What sizes are available?

Current Ramson refillable airless dispenser ranges include 30 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml, while refillable airless jars include 15 ml, 30 ml and 50 ml.

Are the refillable systems mono-material?

Selected systems are specified in PP with plastic-spring technology. The exact construction is confirmed model by model for the complete pack.

Can the refill and outer pack be decorated differently?

Yes, depending on the chosen system and production route. We can coordinate colour and decoration around the intended refill experience.
